What is Winterguard?

Winterguard is a sport of the arts.  It is a 5 minute flag, dance, & rifle routine, in which the performers attempt to convey emotion and artistry. Unlike fall Guard, the Winterguard performs to a 4 to 6 minute sound track.
Winterguard is normally made up of 15 to 30 members who put their time and hearts into producing a show that will not only win but touch the hearts of those who see them. The season begins at the end of November and goes non stop until the end of March, competing at a number of competitions in both Virginia and North Carolina. The Winterguard ends the season at the Atlantic Indoor Associations Championships located in Raleigh, North Carolina.
